About the Open Day
On these open days there will be opportunities to try out meditation, take a guided tour of the building or just relax in our tearoom and grounds. Our tearoom is open 11am to 5pm daily, where you can sit back, relax and enjoy views over the countryside.

Dharma for kids
May 2nd - 5th

About the Event
This is a special opportunity for families to meet and practise Dharma together. Activities for children are organised around a Buddhist theme and include drama, art, mantra rolling and outdoor games.
The meditation and positive thinking classes enable young people to discuss Dharma and how it applies to their everyday lives.

Auction of promises
An entertaining evening for all
May 9th, arrive 6.30pm for light buffet followed by auction at 7pm

About the Event
The auction of promises is an entertaining evening of live comedy and drama. Enjoy the fun and tension of bidding for wonderful promises, mixed with the laughter from the presentation of the auctioneer.
This year there are amazing promises to bid for which include:
A a chaufeur driven trip to see a live match of the Leicester Tigers rugby club with lunch provided.
One week holiday in a studio flat in the beautiful seaside resort of Wimereux, France. One days building work.
Yoga lessons, professional logo design, ironing for a month, babysitting, narrow boat trip for four and much more.
Suggested donation for the buffet per person £2.50
Art of Enlightenment
Statue Painting
Aug 11th - 16th

About the Course
Statues and paintings of Buddhas are used in meditation to inspire and encourage us to develop good qulaities. The techniques of Buddhist art have developed and have been practised for thousands of years and require special skill and discipline.
On this course Kadam Chris will give clear instructions on the sacred art of statue painting and give practical demonstrations of repairing, gilding, painting and decorating statues. Please bring at least one statue (the bigger the better). This course is suitable for all levels of experience.
About the Teacher
Kadam Chris Heyes is the Resident Artist at Nagarjuna Centre and has been painting images of Buddhas for many years. He has an international reputation for his detailed work which can be seen in NKT Centres and Temples throughout the world.
